Armur is a secure digital vault designed for firearm collectors. It helps you document your collection, preserve provenance, track maintenance and range sessions, and optionally share selected pieces publicly — while keeping you in control of your data.
It is not social media. It is not a marketplace operator. It is a structured companion to the modern gunroom.
You create an account, choose your storage mode (cloud sync or local-only), and begin adding firearms to your vault. For each firearm, you can record:

Yes. An account is required to access Armur.
Your account secures your vault and enables authentication, optional encrypted cloud sync, and device access management. Even in local-only mode, an account is required to protect and structure your records.
Cloud Sync Mode
Your encrypted data is securely stored and synced across devices. This provides backup and access from multiple devices.
Local Mode
Your data remains stored only on your device. Nothing is synced to the cloud.
You may switch modes later through guided migration in Settings.

No. Armur is a personal documentation and organizational tool. It does not replace your legal obligations for firearm ownership, transfer, storage, or compliance.

Users may list items they wish to sell or are seeking, but all transfers must comply with applicable laws and occur independently of the app.
Armur allows you to selectively showcase chosen firearms. You decide what to display, what details remain private, and whether a firearm is visible publicly at all.
The Public Gallery is intended for storytelling and discussion — not exposure of sensitive data.
Yes. Your entire vault is private by default. You must explicitly choose which firearms, photos, or notes appear in the Public Gallery.
Sensitive information such as serial numbers should never be displayed publicly.
Yes. You may upload invoices, letters, auction catalogs, export permits, maker correspondence, and other documentation directly to each firearm entry.
Your documents stay associated with the firearm inside your vault.
Yes. Armur allows you to log cleanings, record gunsmith work, track round counts, maintain service history, and add notes for specific range sessions.
This creates a structured care history over time.
No. Armur is designed for firearm collectors broadly, including side-by-side shotguns, over-and-unders, rifles, pistols, accessories, and related equipment.
Many users find Armur helpful for organizing records relevant to insurance documentation. However, Armur does not act as an insurer or provide insurance advice. Always confirm requirements with your insurance provider.
In Local Mode, locally stored data may be permanently lost if the app is removed or the device is reset.
In Cloud Sync Mode, your data remains available via your account unless you delete your account.
Data portability and export options are planned features and will be expanded over time.
