1. Nature of the Service
Armur is a digital tool for documenting personal gear collections, including firearms, accessories, and related equipment.
Armur does not:
- Provide legal advice
- Provide compliance guidance
- Facilitate firearm sales or transfers
- Perform background checks
- Act as a broker, dealer, marketplace intermediary, or escrow service
You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws.
2. Eligibility
You represent that you:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Are legally permitted to possess the items you document
- Will use the Service only for lawful purposes
3. Account Requirement; Security
An account is required to access and use Armur.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Maintain credential security
- Accept responsibility for activity under your account
HoplonTec is not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized account access.
4. Device Storage
Some data may be stored locally on your device to improve performance and enable limited offline functionality, including cached records, media, and settings.
If your device is lost, reset, or the App is removed, some locally stored data may be lost and may not be recoverable by HoplonTec.
5. Cloud Storage and Processing
By using the Service, you authorize HoplonTec to store and process:
- Collection entries and metadata
- Photos and media
- Posts, comments, and interactions
- Marketplace listings
- Notifications and settings
- Profile and account data
- Device identifiers for security
5.1 Service Availability
We do not guarantee:
- Continuous uptime
- Immediate syncing
- Permanent file preservation
6. Payments and Subscriptions
Paid features may be offered through in-app subscriptions or other purchase flows.
Payments may be processed by third parties (including Apple, Google, or Stripe, depending on the purchase method). HoplonTec does not store credit card numbers and does not process card data directly when Stripe is used.
7. User-Generated Content & Marketplace Features
The Service may allow you to create or upload content, including marketplace listings, posts, comments, profile information, images, and media (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant HoplonTec a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, perform, distribute (to the extent necessary to provide the Service), and process your User Content to operate, improve, and secure the Service.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant the foregoing license and that your User Content does not violate law or these Terms.
7.1 Marketplace Disclaimer
If the Service includes marketplace-style features, you understand and agree that HoplonTec is not a party to any transaction between users, does not facilitate firearm sales or transfers through the Service, does not provide escrow, does not perform background checks, and does not verify the legality, ownership, authenticity, or compliance status of any item.
Any interactions or transactions between users occur solely at the users’ discretion and risk.
8. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Armur to:
- Conduct firearm sales, transfers, or background checks through the Service
- Facilitate illegal transactions
- Upload unlawful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or infringing content
- Attempt unauthorized access or interfere with the Service
- Misrepresent identity or ownership of items
- Upload malware or attempt to bypass security features
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and other content (excluding User Content), is owned by HoplonTec or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, HoplonTec grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use (unless HoplonTec expressly authorizes otherwise).
10. DMCA Copyright Policy
HoplonTec respects copyright law. Copyright claims and counter-notices are handled under our DMCA Copyright Policy available at armur.org/dmca.
11. Third-Party Services and Third-Party Content
The Service may use third-party providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, payments). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
The Service may display links or directories of third-party resources. Third-party content displayed via in-app browsers remains the property of the respective owners. HoplonTec does not claim ownership of or responsibility for third-party content.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, restrict access, or remove content at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, pose a risk, or if required by law.
You may delete your account at any time. Cloud data will be deleted subject to backup retention and legal obligations.
13. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
HoplonTec disclaims all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
Armur is not a substitute for legal compliance, insurance, professional valuation, or gunsmithing services.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HoplonTec shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service.
HoplonTec’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to HoplonTec (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HoplonTec Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your User Content
- Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
16. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to Section 17 (Arbitration), any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
17. Arbitration; Class Action Waiver
Except where prohibited by law, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
You and HoplonTec each waive the right to a trial by jury and the right to participate in a class action. The arbitrator may award relief only in favor of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to provide relief warranted by that party’s claim.
This arbitration provision shall survive termination of these Terms.
18. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted within the Service or on armur.org. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
19. Export Controls
You may not use or export the Service in violation of U.S. export laws and regulations. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to U.S. sanctions and are not on any U.S. restricted party list.
20. Force Majeure
HoplonTec shall not be liable for delays or failures due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, labor disputes, internet or hosting failures, war, terrorism, civil unrest, or governmental actions.
21. Severability; Entire Agreement; Assignment
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. These Terms, together with policies incorporated by reference (including Privacy Policy and DMCA Policy), constitute the entire agreement.
You may not assign these Terms without HoplonTec’s prior written consent. HoplonTec may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
22. California Consumer Compliance Rider
This section applies solely to residents of the State of California.
If you are a California resident, you may have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA”).
Subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Request disclosure of categories and specific pieces of personal information collected
- Request deletion of personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Request information regarding categories of third parties with whom personal information is shared
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (if applicable)

We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights afforded under applicable California law.
HoplonTec does not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA. To the extent certain processing may be deemed “sharing,” it is conducted for business purposes and subject to contractual safeguards.
The arbitration provisions in Section 17 apply to California residents except where prohibited by applicable law. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights under California law.
23. European Union / UK GDPR Addendum
This section applies only to individuals located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to the extent applicable law requires.
The Service is operated from the United States. HoplonTec does not intentionally market the Service to residents of the EEA or UK. However, if GDPR applies to your use of the Service, this section governs.
23.1 Lawful Basis for Processing
Where GDPR applies, we process personal data under one or more of the following lawful bases:
- Performance of a contract (account creation and service delivery)
- Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement)
- Consent (where required)
- Compliance with legal obligations
23.2 Data Subject Rights
Subject to applicable limitations, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, port data, or object to processing.
Requests may be submitted via the contact information in our Privacy Policy. We may verify identity before fulfilling requests.
23.3 International Transfers
Personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, transfers are conducted pursuant to appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful mechanisms.
23.4 Supervisory Authority
If you are located in the EEA, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Nothing in this section shall be construed as establishing HoplonTec Inc. as having an establishment within the European Union.
